On 23 April 2025 ‘golden oldster’ Walter de Milliano, developer of the Dusormil and DusorghA sorghum varieties and carrier of unique knowledge of- and practical experience with African sorghums
and
Boudewijn Klaversteijn (BB) ‘platinum oldster’ architect-designer of the ECOHUB carbon dioxide removal-useage systems solution tailored to the needs of African women smallholders in remote areas
engaged in an hour long brainstorm with nmburu@africaharvest.org, info@africaharvest.org, fwambugu@africaharvest.org, emutahi@africaharvest.org, emulama@africaharvest.org, koyugi@africaharvest.org, dkagwiria@africaharvest.org
The architecture, design, start-up and development mode of an ECOHUB is at a number of junctions quite innovative and without precedent. This, and other uncertainties makes it difficult to decide on immediate deployment.
Platinum Oldster, BB, offered to bring within a period of 3-4 months one carefully selected and vetted young women up to speed with the ECOHUB smallholder development opportunity.
Hereunder the suggested procedure.
Africa Harvest appoints a single point contact (SPOC) from their ranks, preferably an experienced enterprising young woman. Man is ok but woman is better.
BB gives the SPOC access the body of knowledge (BOK) and assists her (or him) with internalizing subject knoledge by means of a number of questions and answer sessions which will be recorded for use by ohers.
BB has started work on the Africa Harvest VADEMECUM (Play book) which will cover the planning, funding, building, owning and operating of Carbon Negative ECOHUB Agro-Energy facilities in rural Africa.
Once the SPOC has sufficiently internalized subject knowledge, she/he comes for 4weeks to the Netherlands where she/he finishes her/his development under BB’s direct guidance.
Together BB and SPOC we will complete and finalize the VADEMECUM.
BB will personally introduce and explain the SPOC to the 12 SME’s who participated in the development of the ECOHUB concept.
After her/his return the SPOC’s to Africa, BB will gradually reduce his involvement to answering questions from the SPOC.
BB prefers to work on the basis of a monthly retainer
The members of African Harvest (and others introduced by African Harvest) will be provided, on a regular basis and/or as requested with BB’s newsletter called Ecosocial Carbon Dioxide Removal & Useage.
