There are seven (7) ways to remove CO2 from the air. ECOHUBS "Rural African Place Based Agro-Energies" is the only economically-socially viable CO2-negative way to better rural lives and futures

You can do it, remove (your) CO2 (carbon) from the atmosphere for the benefit of North and South.

CDR, Carbon Dioxide Removal Methods

  1. Afforestation/ reforestation.

  2. Soil carbon sequestration in croplands and grasslands.

  3. Peatland and coastal wetland restoration.

  4. Agroforestry, improved forest management.

  5. Biochar carbon removal (BCR)

  6. Direct air carbon capture and storage (DACCS)

  7. Bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS)

Too much CO2 in the atmosphere is a huge problem

With the use of the ECOHUB systems solution it recently became possible for African smallholders to remove - in Africa - CO2 that Global Northern (rich) countries throw-up in the air. Through their ECOHUBs African smallholder women receive payment for their CO2 removal farming. Referenced Global Northern (rich) emitters pay the ECOHUB for the remova,l by the smallholder women and family members, of this CO2 which is in the form of biochar..

An ECOHUB is owned and operated “in tandem” by one or more entrepreneurial African Women (the front office) on one side and a small group of entrepreneurial E Global Northern (rich) European women (the back office) on the other side. European women are either financially independent or hold a paying job the employer of which allows them to spend 10 hours per month to plan, fund, build, operate and exploit one or more ECOHUB units over a number of years.

An ECOHUB starts out as a staging area for sorghum wheat and biomass. The objective of an ECOHUB development is to turn the strategically located staging over time, say 5 – 10 years, into an incrementally expanding Agro-Industrial Energy Estate yielding solar electricity and a range of biobased products such as pyrolysis oil, wood vinegar, biochar, bio-methanol, hydrogen etc..

Three of the sorghum biomass derived products can and will be used to regenerate the soil so as to add production capacity and value to the land owned by the farmers.

To following is needed to kick start a 200 smallholder families (1,000 people, 350 hectares) ECOHUB:

· 200 cook stoves (20,000 Euro)

· Bag of sorghum (2,300 Euro)

· Starlink 4,500

The development of an ECOHUB starts with the

1. formation of an African-European women tandem.

2. the leader of the African women selects a location, 350 hectares, 200 smallholder families, degraded soils.

3. the African women collect information using a questionnaire which the European women provide. (avialable).

4. The European women prepare a business plan

5. The African women agree / approve the business plan

6. Independently the European and African arrange organizations with a CO2 issue (emissions, reputation) to buy-in to the plan.

Make 2024 a Turning Point for Clean Cooking and the massive fast start of carbon dioxide removing ECOHUBs in rural Africa

With a team of Dutch new technology developing SME's we produced a blueprint plan for 50 ECOHUBS operational within 5 years (feedstock biomass from sorghum) in response to a request by the South African Embassy in The Hague, Netherlands. Africa.
